Thanks for the support, Akash. Definitely was hard and took multiple months to commit. Been enjoying the time I have to reflect and looking forward to the next chapter :D
I really appreciate the transparency of your post, Jordan. Thank you so much for sharing 🙏 Enjoy your well-deserved break, and I hope to see you around soon!
Thanks so much, Maxi 🙏 really appreciate your message too. I'll still be around and you know you have VIP DM access any time 😎😂. If you're in Philly let's make an AI coding video haha
I have been amazed by your cadence. Writing that much content consistently, over a large stretch of time, is a lot to ask of anyone. Take a thoroughly deserved break. 👍
Jordan, you’ve been killing it for the past 87+ weeks! It's amazing to see the high growth of High Growth Engineer. I have learned so much from your articles and each one provides ACTIONABLE value for our day to day.
You deserve the break! It's important to take care of our mental and physical health due to the mind - body connection
I'm definitely excited to see where you take it next especially with sharing tools that help your day to day (eg: the Raycast article).
I had a couple ideas too for the AI tools aspect (could be building it or reviewing them or writing about them) in case you're open to it:
* Sometimes, in 1:1s with the manager, there is that activation energy of finding a topic to talk about and brainstorming it takes time. What if we can use AI as a collaborative partner to brainstorm good talking points/bullet points for manager 1:1s to keep the relationship warm?
* I've noticed for myself that during a chunk of meetings, sometimes I don't follow the action items or the thesis of the meeting due to adhoc discussions that pile up. I came across this tool called OtterAI (https://otter.ai) that acts as a copilot for your meetings and after the meeting, you can ask it questions about the discussion points (meeting transcription + AI meeting assistant in one tool!). This type of tool is a real game changer imo. It would be cool to see your review of such a tool
* Common prompts that you use on your day to day to make yourself more efficient
* I'm definitely excited by the "performance review builder" idea! I can imagine this as a stepping stone to a "High Growth Engineer" AI
Brave move Jordan, I'm happy for you! It's very hard to fight the inertia :)
I've done a similar 4 weeks break in October, and decided to reduce the cadence. After I came back I found out I missed it, and am still posting weekly 😂
My balance was on quickness instead of quality. I'm writing more things that are less popular/researched, but feel closer to my heart, so it takes much less time to write an article.
I hope you'll find something that works for you, and can't wait what you'll end up building :)
I can understand how hard this step must have been for you, Jordan. But, I am glad you took it. Enjoy your free time :)

Honestly, I'm happy to read that you'll prioritize yourself, Jordan.
All this is to come back stronger, will be here waiting for you!
Thank you so much, Fran. You're a true friend 🙏
Wishing you all the best in building AI products. That's an excellent idea!
Thanks, Diego!

Best wishes Jordan!
And see you in January!
Thank you, Marcos and I'll still see you around! Just will take an article posting break

Thank you so much, Jason. Definitely felt that and will do :)

Thanks, Karthik. Really appreciate your support and love the ideas. Will think on them and incorporate them into my learning + what I share soon!

You deserve the break Jordan!
It's been amazing watching this grow from the start.
Can't wait to see where you take it next.
